Love Not War and Hackney Hopster are just a couple of beers you may have been drinking a few years ago at London Fields Brewery taproom in East London.
Way back in 2011, it was the first commercial brewery to open in Hackney since the 19th Century and was a regular stop on the East London Craft Beer Tour with UK Brewery Tours.
Now owned in a joint venture by Carlsberg and Brooklyn Brewery, there has been a great deal of investment made in new equipment and brewing has once again began on the East London site.
We took a look around in August 2019 to see the work in progress with the new taproom coming on nicely.
The team at London Fields Brewery are excited with the new kit and said the new owners have invested in some excellent equipment for them to work with.
The core range will continue to be brewed off site however the new experimental range will be brewed in Hackney.
The taproom opens to the public this autumn with tours planned from October 2019 starting on Saturday's with other days of the week potentially being added.
Plus they will have Prairie Fire BBQ on site for you to soak up all those new beers when you get a little peckish.
